- Regina Lorek (247-7842) gave a talk on using homeopathy when rescuing animals. She discussed the use of arnica for bruising and aconite for shock. The mixture should be one dropperful in a spray bottle of water. It needs to be sprayed on a mucous membrane but never in the eyes. Arnica should be used as often as possible. A good reference is “Alternative Treatment for Wildlife” by Jeff Letterman.

The otter(s) reported on last meeting has died and there may have been only one.
A baby saw-whet owl with a cut on its leg and a slightly injured eye was taken to Island Vet and then Errington where it suddenly died.
Two fawns were hit by cars
Another fawn died.

Need help on Saturday for setup of 3 tables – one for Betty Hagen with cards, one for the eagle display and one for the puppets.
On Sunday set up at 9. At 12:30 Penny Sidor and the Salmon Wave Dancers will perform.
